Every place has their own history, as well as Mount Puntang. In the Dutch indies era, to be exact, in 1971-1929, Mount puntang was the connector of Indonesia and the Netherlands. During that era, a radio transmitting station was built in the Mount Puntang area and is called Malabar Radio Station. Until now, the debris from the radio station can still be found as a historical witness in Mount Puntang.
